Hefei University of Technology (HFUT) is a national key university administrated directly by the Ministry of Education of China. Hefei University of Technology was founded in 1945, approved as a national key university in 1960, and became a key construction university of the national '211 Project' in 2005, a university of the national '985 Project' advantageous disciplines and innovation platform construction in 2009, and a university of the national 'Double-First-Class' construction in 2017. The university takes the construction of advantageous and characteristic disciplines as the key to enhance the core competitiveness, and vigorously promotes the construction of first-class disciplines of management science and engineering, so as to drive the rapid and high-quality development of other disciplines. There are 20 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 5 doctoral degree authorization points, 38 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, 23 master's degree authorization points, and 11 disciplines enter into the top 1% of ESI global ranking, among which engineering maintains the top 1‰ of global ranking. Moreover, inter-school partnership has been forged with more than 100 world-renowned universities.
